Additional cardholders.
Your gran, best friend or anyone who's over 16 can have an additional card that's directly linked to your Virgin Credit Card account.
How it works.
- it's free
- you share the same credit limit
- you are the "primary cardholder" (which means that you are responsible for all card costs on the account - including on-time payments (thank you!) and any fees to be paid, such as if your card goes over its credit limit).
See more about who can do what in our FAQs (for example, only a primary cardholder can close the account).
To apply, just send us a form.

When will the new card be sent out?
Once the nice people in cards have checked over the application, we'll send out a letter asking to see some paperwork to confirm that they are who they say they are. Then we'll have the new card in the post within a few days.
Can I see who has bought what?
Unfortunately you can't see who has bought what item on the statement, so it's best to keep track of your individual purchases (even a shoebox makes an alright filing cabinet).
Cancelling additional cardholders.
To cancel, you need to cut the card into pieces and dispose of it, or return it to us.
If you can't destroy the card, give us a call, anytime on 1800 080 000 and we can put a stop on it. You do need to be aware though that the card may still be able to be used in some circumstances, like manual transactions in cabs or where the amount is under the floor limit, and that the primary cardholder remains responsible for these transactions.
