Life Stage Tracker®.
Virgin Money’s super fund option for people who prefer to have the bulk of the investment thinking left to the experts. All you need to consider is the level of risk and return you’re most comfortable with, and choose your preferred investment option - we’ll take care of the rest.
Step one – think about your risk profile.
People getting closer to retirement may be less tolerant to risk. That’s because it’s
likely they’ve got more cash in their super fund and less time to recover from short-term losses
that could occur.
On the flip side, younger people generally have a longer investment timeframe. This
means they can invest more comfortably in growth assets, such as shares and property, and therefore
maximise their potential for juicy returns.

and choice.
Step two – select your Life Stage.
- Balanced – for people who want mid to long-term growth while maintaining risk at a moderate level. This option has a strategic mix of assets right across the investment spectrum, specifically to target moderate returns (cash/fixed interest, property, Australian and international shares).
- Aggressive – as the name suggests, this is for people who don’t mind taking on more risk for the potential of higher returns. It comprises a greater proportion of growth assets (shares and property).
Your money is moved as you get older.
As Life Stage members get older, we change the investment mix automatically. We do this to
reduce risk and give member funds greater stability as retirement gets closer. You can see
how this works in Super FAQs –
what
are the Life Stage Tracker investment mixes?
Changing your investment mix – some food for thought.
You can change things around whenever you like. Your personal circumstances and the investment market can change over time, so you may need to re-evaluate your investment options from time to time.
To help members with this bigger picture thinking, we update this website with quarterly performance reports, and send out personal snapshots every six months.
It’s easy to join Virgin Super.
